Looking for a Head Chef with experience in soul food!
We need someone to run our kitchen at Southern Twist in Barstow. We're the spot locals come to for real soul food with our own spin on things - think elevated comfort food that still feels like home.
ABOUT US: We've built a solid reputation doing scratch-made Southern classics with some creative twists. Good volume, loyal customers, and we actually care about putting out quality food.
WHAT YOU'D BE DOING:
- Run the kitchen and lead the crew
- Keep our food consistent and up to standard
- Work on seasonal specials and menu tweaks
- Handle food costs, ordering, etc.
- Train new cooks and keep everyone motivated
- Make sure we stay clean and pass health inspections
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- 3+ years running a kitchen (head chef, kitchen manager, etc)
- Experience with soul food
- Can handle busy service
- Good with people and leading a team
- Understanding of food costs and kitchen operations
- Has a food handler's license
