Looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to join our soul food team
Southern Twist is hiring a Kitchen Manager to help run our busy kitchen in Barstow. We're known locally for authentic soul food with creative touches - comfort food that hits different but still feels like home.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate service flow
- Monitor food quality and presentation standards
- Assist with inventory management and cost control
- Train new team members on our recipes and standards
- Ensure food safety protocols and cleanliness standards
- Help with prep scheduling and labor management
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- 2+ years kitchen management or supervisory experience
- Background in soul food/Southern cuisine preferred
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Experience with inventory and basic cost control
- Team player who can support the Head Chef's vision
- Food handler's certification required
