Job Description: Legal Secretary
Pay: $17.50 per hour
Benefits: None
Work Schedule: 28 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. [lunch break from Noon to 1:00 p.m.], and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. [excluding state court holidays]
Work Location: Redlands, California- This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities:
Assists and supports lawyer[s] [and other employees] with work; Enhances attorney[s] effectiveness by providing office support and representing the attorney[s] to clients and others; Welcomes guests and clients by greeting them in person or on the telephone, and by answering or directing inquiries; Produces information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics to help coordinate case preparation; Reads, reviews, verifies, and routes correspondence, reports, and legal documents; Drafts, revises, and edits letters and other written documents, and collects and analyzes information; Organizes client conferences and attorney meetings by scheduling couriers, court reporters, expert witnesses, and others, and by coordinating preparation of charts, graphs, and other courtroom visuals; Maintains attorney[s] calendar[s] by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, depositions, and travel, recording and monitoring court appearance dates, pleadings, and filing requirements, monitoring evidence-gathering, and anticipating changes in litigation preparation requirements; Represents attorney[s] by communicating on their behalf and obtaining information, following-up on assignments, and referring matters to attorney[s]; Maintains client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential; Develops and maintains filing and retrieval system [electronically]; Records and documents meeting discussions, maintains transcripts, documents and maintains evidence; Maintains office supplies by checking stocks, placing and expediting orders, and evaluating new products; Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and calling for repairs; As requested by attorney[s], attends trials and types minutes; Serves and files various legal documents; Operates paperless office, which includes but is not limited to scanning documents and saving and storing documents electronically and retrieving the same; Utilizes form-building software, zoom, dropbox, etc.; Assists attorney[s] with tasks related to firm marketing, including but not limited to website management; Assists attorney[s] with tasks related to business development; Assists attorney[s] with administrative tasks; Otherwise assists attorney[s]

Education & Experience:
High school diploma required; Notary certification a plus; Bilingual [English & Spanish] a plus
At Interview:
