Description We are seeking a Change Analyst in Irvine, California. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity where the candidate will be interacting with developers and engineers, managing releases and changes introduced into the production and non-production environment, and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities: Interact with developers and engineers to ensure the effective transfer of projects to Service Operations. Conduct detailed risk and business impact assessments on planned changes and releases. Manage a Release Schedule in coordination with business stakeholders and subject matter experts. Work with cross-functional teams to gather details relating to changes and related business impact. Coordinate and run the Change Advisory Board meetings, including reviewing, approving, or rejecting changes and flagging any risks to the business. Collaborate with IT Managers to manage the service dependency matrix, utilizing understanding of the relationships, dependencies, and business use of key service delivery systems. Provide training materials and coordinate in-person training across business stakeholders to educate them on the various types and categories of changes/releases. Produce weekly change/release dashboard/reports for business stakeholders and subject matter experts. Ensure that all realized plans/policies are in place for all agreed services. Act as a liaison between business units/stakeholders and the IT/Technology teams. Requirements Proficient in Atlassian Jira Strong understanding of Change Management principles Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field Proven experience as a Release Engineer or similar role in software development Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) Familiarity with software configuration management processes Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent problem-solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Shell, etc. Experience with version control systems like Git, SVN, etc. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery principles Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, etc. would be a plus Strong understanding of Agile methodologies Proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality releases.
