Description We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our team in Irvine, California. This role focuses on the efficient processing of payroll for a sizable team of employees, all based in California. The Payroll Specialist will be working fully onsite and will be using Paynet payroll software and Sage 100 ERP. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Processing bi-monthly payroll for all employees Handling payroll-related tasks for employees in the construction industry Ensuring compliance with prevailing wage laws and certified payroll requirements Managing payroll for a workforce ranging between 101 and 500 employees Utilizing Paynet payroll software for payroll processing Operating Sage 100 ERP for effective payroll management Addressing and resolving any payroll-related inquiries from employees Maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll records Ensuring timely and accurate payroll delivery to all employees. Requirements Must have experience in managing bi-Monthly Payroll Proficiency in Certified Payroll is required Familiarity with Prevailing Wage practices is essential Construction industry knowledge is beneficial Payroll experience, particularly within a company of 101 - 500 employees is needed Candidates should possess strong organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are required Proficient in using payroll software and systems Candidates must have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to handle confidential information responsibly Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines Knowledge of payroll taxation and employment laws is necessary Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel, is required Must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
