RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a highly successful player in the lending technology space, is looking to add high performing business analysts to their growing team. This is a full-time opportunity offering remote work and excellent benefits.

Summary:
The Principal Business Systems Analyst is responsible for ensuring that business requirements are understood and documented sufficiently for their deliverables. The position will work on multiple, medium to large scale technical projects at a time, as well as ongoing production support. The Principal Business Systems Analyst will elicit and understand business requirements, related business rules, and business processes for software applications. They will decompose high-level concepts and information into detailed, workable tasks and items. Analysts will document functional and non-functional requirements, develop, and carry out methods and test plans as appropriate to ensure that requirements and quality objectives are satisfied.

Principal-level business systems analysts should be able to demonstrate the following:
Elicit and understand business requirements from users, related business rules, and business processes for software applications
Decompose high-level concepts and information into detailed, workable tasks and items
Document functional and non-functional system/software requirements
Develop and manage project schedules, identify, and communicate risks to stakeholders, define risk mitigation strategies and facilitate appropriate software engineering solutions
Develop and carry out methods and test plans as appropriate to ensure that requirements and quality objectives are satisfied
Work as part of an Agile team to solve problems and deliver projects in a fast-paced environment
Be responsible for answering questions from the implementation team and removing roadblocks to success
Directly supervise project resources and work assignments to those resources daily

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar major is desired or equivalent work experience
10+ years of experience documenting functional and non-functional business requirements using an established waterfall SDLC methodology (i.e., Use Case, UML, BRD, etc.)
10+ years in product/technology delivery management of projects and teams
Must have experience working with project teams to deliver software solutions that meet specific business needs
Knowledge of Agile software development methodology and tools, .NET technology, Visual Basic, PICK, and relational databases such as SQL is required
High competency in technical analysis and data mapping
Mentoring of fellow analysts with their deliverables and presentations
Working knowledge of software testing techniques
Experience coordinating UAT programs and client resources
Strong analytical skills are required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter that can work well in a team environment from a remote workspace
Proactive issue resolution with a positive attitude
Mortgage business domain and technology industry experience required
BKFS Empower Loan Origination System (LOS) experience is highly desired
