The Resource Planning & Performance team is investing in analytics, dashboards, and data visualizations to elevate decision making. In this job, the successful candidate will be a key contributor supporting the Customer Service Operations Division (CSOD) using your skills in data visualization, solution building, development, and oversight of CSOD dashboards. In this position, you will be consulting with clients and leadership to drive strategic data-informed decisions by creating intuitive dashboards, on-demand data views, and translating the data into actionable intelligence. You will be part of a dynamic team identifying business trends and opportunities to achieve customer service goals.As a Senior Specialist, your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone. Consult with operational clients and work with data sources to gather information and deliver operational insights. Translate into actionable information using tools such as SAS Visual Analytics, PowerBI, Tableau or other tools.

Gather requirements and advise on the best approaches for data visualization needs. Design, develop and deploy dashboards partnering with clients, data engineers, data scientists, project teams and operations.

Develop and refine strategy to drive the utilization of self-service visualization tools by exploring AI capabilities, assessing organizational change management needs, presenting to end-users, and leveraging business expertise.

Collaborate with developers/data visualization practitioners to identify and share new techniques, design thinking, technology updates, and user experience best practices.

!!The essentials

Five or more years of analytical experience deriving critical insights from large datasets.

Three or more years of hands-on experience with data visualization applications and tools such SAS Visual Analytics, PowerBI, or Tableau.

Experience in data warehousing and extraction tools, technical data concepts, design, data engineering, and statistical forecasts.

The preferred

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information System, Data Science/Analytics, or related field.

Five or more years of experience in building dashboards using one the following analytics tools: SAS Visual Analytics, PowerBI, or Tableau.

Database development experience using SQL Server, R, SAP, and/or SAS Enterprise Guide.

Experience utilizing visualization techniques and best practices to optimize user experience.

Strong story telling skills, both written and verbal, and demonstrating analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

You should know

This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
