Finance Manager

Description A well-respected Robert Half client is seeking an interim Finance Manager for a 3+ month engagement. The Finance Manager will be tasked with the responsibility of articulating the financial results at the end of each reporting period and for each planning cycle. Our talent will be working closely with management in various business groups to provide the required financial information, analysis, and advice in order to make financially sound decisions.Major responsibilities

Establish processes, improve close cycle times and reduce errors by coordinating with the accounting team

Develop detailed business unit projections, highlight risks/opportunities, and oversee the preparation of relevant materials

Prepare executive-level management reporting, summarizing findings and recommendations

Enhance financial performance by improving forecasting and modelling accuracy, reporting results to executive leadership and key stakeholders, analyzing results and trends to create impactful insights, and developing operating and financial metrics- Develop strong partnerships with leaders across the organization

Work with business unit leaders for the completeness and accuracy of the material inputs to the company financial model and overall business strategy

Lead, prepare, and coordinate the annual/quarterly/monthly budget and reforecast processes

Use BI tools and financial systems to institute and automate reports

This is a hybrid role with 3 days required in Livermore. Pay is expected to be between $65-$70/hr.Requirements - Excellent knowledge of financial modeling and accounting implications

Previous experience using MS Excel, and financial modeling and data analysis capabilities

Previous experience with accounting systems and budgetary software

Strong communication (written and verbal) skills to interact effectively and clearly in a fast-changing environment

CPA designation or MBA preferred

2+ years of people development and leadership experience

Bachelor or Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance or Accounting

Minimum of 4+ years of progressive experience in a FP& A capacity
