Description Robert Half is actively recruiting for an accomplished Accounts Payable Manager / Consultant to support our private equity backed Healthcare client. The consultant will be a subject matter expert on the escheatment process in California for unclaimed property including outstanding unreconciled vendors/suppliers. The consultant will advise on implementing a future escheatment process and document policies and procedures for the company. The consultant will train staff on the new process to ensure timely and efficient controls are put in place. This role will be onsite in Long Beach, CA. Skills: -Advanced understanding of the Escheatment policies in California-Deep knowledge of how to treat unclaimed property-Strong US GAAP experience-Excel experience required-Knowledge of QuickBooks preferred-Must be able to work independently-Roll-up the sleeves individualRequirements Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role. Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is essential. Must have a thorough understanding of Accrual Accounting. Experience in Auditing is necessary. Knowledge of Escheatment processes and requirements is a must. Must have experience in managing Vendor Payments. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team are required. Must hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary. Must possess strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is required. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly is essential. Must be able to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information. Must have the ability to comply with all company policies and procedures.
