Description The Senior Accountant will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and analysis. This position requires a experienced professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to provide financial leadership within the organization. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Provide insights into financial performance and trends.
Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
General Ledger Management: Review and approve journal entries. Reconcile complex general ledger accounts.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate in the development and monitoring of budgets. Contribute to financial forecasting and planning.
Internal Controls: Establish and monitor internal controls. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Audit Support: Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors. Support audit processes and ensure timely and accurate responses to inquiries.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff. Provide guidance on complex accounting issues. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is preferred.
5+ years of progressive experience in accounting.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
