RESPONSIBILITIES:
⢠Review federal and multi-state returns and projections for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
⢠Through firm-sponsored and self-directed training, stay current on tax law and other research in order to ensure the proper identification and resolution of complex tax issues; communicate findings to colleagues
⢠Lead teams, provide feedback, and mentor individuals in order to ensure excellent work product
⢠Communicate status to partners and maintain positive relationships with client
⢠Ensure utmost client trust in team
⢠Advise client on tax planning and income tax issues
⢠Assist staff in work-flow and project management
REQUIREMENTS:
⢠Active CPA license required, Masters of Taxation preferred
⢠8+ years recent experience with a CPA firm
⢠Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and budgets
⢠Ability to mentor staff and seniors, assist in the supervision of the tax department
⢠Ability to recognize, evaluate and communicate potential tax risks and planning opportunities
⢠Oversee all aspects of Individual, Partnership, Corporate, Trust and Estate issues
⢠Review returns and research complex tax matters
⢠Provide consulting and compliance work
⢠Excellent written and verbal communication skills
