We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller/Accounting Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing our day-to-day medical insurance and patient payments, as well as some accounts payable duties for our healthcare company.
Duties:
Insurance Verification Specialist (deep understanding of healthcare insurance).
Utilize financial software to track and maintain accounting records.
Perform general ledger reconciliations, daily collections, daily mail, daily checks, and daily deposits.
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Handle accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.
Gather invoices and communicate with the medical billing department.
Utilize QuickBooks or similar software for timekeeping.
File, maintain, and distribute accounting documents, records, and reports.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of healthcare insurance coverage and reimbursements.
Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
Experience in general ledger reconciliation and account-keeping.
Understanding of computer: specific skills like email management, data entry, spreadsheet, Excel, and Microsoft.
