Description Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk. This position will be based on-site in Marina Del Rey, CA, and will involve handling various accounts payable tasks for our merchandising company. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:
Process vendor invoices accurately and timely into the accounting system.
Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure accuracy of billing and pricing.
Verify expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Communicate with vendors regarding invoice and payment inquiries.
Assist with month-end closing processes as needed.
Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable files and records.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper documentation and approvals for invoices.
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by the Accounts Payable Manager.
Requirements
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required.
