Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist based in Los Angeles, California. This role involves managing the entire Accounts Payable cycle, from processing internal check requests to maintaining vendor relationships. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity in the telecom industry.Responsibilities: Receive, review, and process incoming invoices with precision and efficiency. Communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies and payment inquiries. Enter and upload vendor invoices into the designated system for coding and payment. Cross-check purchase orders against invoices. Collaborate with other departments for proper approvals and coding. Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers, in a timely manner. Generate emergency checks for special situations as necessary. Assist with GL coding, expense report processing and reconciliations as needed. Maintain organized and accurate records of all accounts payable transactions. Assist with financial analysis and reporting tasks as assigned. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations. Utilize various accounting software systems such as Great Plains (GPAC), IBM AS/400, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Microsoft Excel. Conduct discrepancy checks and data entry as part of the accounting functions. Handle accounts payable (AP) and check processing duties. Requirements A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role. Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential. Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) would be advantageous. Familiarity with IBM AS/400 and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is required. Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel are necessary. Knowledge of basic Accounting Functions is crucial. Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is a must. Ability to handle Check Processing tasks effectively. Proficiency in Data Entry is a key requirement. Ability to resolve Discrepancies accurately and promptly.
