Description We are in search of an Audit Manager to join our team based in Los Angeles, California, operating in the Financial Services industry. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity and requires a candidate with a strong understanding of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Internal Control Review. As an Audit Manager, you will have a critical role in managing IT risk and compliance, ensuring the smooth flow of processes and operations.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage IT risk and compliance to ensure adherence to industry standards and company policy. Lead the audit process, including planning, executing, and reporting on audit activities. Develop and implement effective and efficient audit methodologies to enhance the audit process. Manage and maintain accurate and comprehensive audit records. Review internal controls and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Conduct regular risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks. Collaborate with different teams to ensure the implementation of compliance programs. Identify areas of improvements and implement action plans to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Utilize skills in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) to assess and control organizational risks. Respond to inquiries and concerns regarding compliance and risk management issues. Requirements Significant professional experience in the financial services industry, ideally 10 years or more. Proven experience in an Audit Manager role or similar. Proficiency in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). Expertise in conducting Internal Control Reviews. Strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation. Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Professional certification, such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA), is desirable. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required; Master's degree or higher is preferred. Proficiency in using financial software and applications. High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
