Other projects as necessary
Take part in various cost accounting analyses, comparing estimated costs to actual costs, preparing various budget reports and lead cost reduction initiatives
Determines fixed costs such as salaries, rent, and insurance.
Predicts, plans, and records variable costs including raw material purchases, labor, and operational costs.
-Reviews, analyzes and reports actual profit margins
Manage monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Develops systems and procedures for accumulation systems and/or cost accounting functions.
Maintain part costs in ERP system
Calculate Labor and Overhead Rates
Requirements
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
A strong track record of communicating, both verbally and in writing, with functional department managers
Experience with ERP systems
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Detailed and have the ability work independently
Epicor experience is a plus
Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
BA/BS in Accounting or related field
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
