Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Credit Analyst in Los Angeles, California, within the Financial Services industry. In this role, you will be processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. In addition, you will also be responsible for monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action.Responsibilities:Must be able to effectively evaluate a wide variety of corporate/commercial lending requests with a mixture of Line of Credits, Terms Loans, Commercial Real Estate loans, participating/syndicating loans, and practices in community bank lending. Review and correct the analysis of client financial records and tax returns in the process of underwriting and structuring or restructuring new and existing credits. Review, edit and sometimes present succinct and concise credit proposals including detailed financial analysis and cash flow projections, industry and borrower analysis, and facility analysis that identifies all the key credit risks and how these are mitigated, including the relationship justification of the proposal. Review delinquent and matured loans with account officers and monitor the collection of payments when necessary. Approve, decline, or recommend credit actions within appropriate credit authority limits as an individual and as a member of Management Loan Committee. Review the timely collection of borrower financial statements, property operating statements and other items as needed per reporting requirements with relationship managers and/or account officers. Work with account officers to maintain appropriate risk grading of credit portfolio. Maintain an awareness of the economy and real estate market. Ensure professional credit analysis, decision making and monitoring in an effective and timely manner with a clear focus on risk and risk-adjusted returns. Prepare and present various reports and analysis of the loan portfolio to executive management and directors of the Bank. Organize and disseminate the agenda for Directors Loan Committee, and then attend and take minutes of those meetings. Review and approve construction and other loan disbursement requests. Periodic inspections of potential and current loan and construction collateral Assist Special Assets Officer and other account officers as directed by the CCO. Other duties as assigned. Complies fully with all Bank policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Code of Conduct, and etc.). Must complete all required trainingRequirements SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS Dependability, reliable, and a self-starter with multi-tasking skills. Professional demeanor Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook Knowledge of basic loan documentation preferable EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in lending.
