Description A growing nonprofit DTLA is looking for a Grant Accountant to join their team! This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and will be based in Los Angeles, California. As a Grant Accountant, you will be involved in the nonprofit sector, specifically focusing on grants receivable ledger work and grant accounting.Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the processing of customer credit applications with precision and efficiency Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer credit records Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when required Utilize accounting software systems such as Abila MIP and ADP - Financial Services to manage accounts Perform auditing tasks to ensure accuracy of financial data and compliance with regulations Participate in budget processes and capital management activities Handle cash activity and maintain cash flow records Use Bloomberg Terminal and other tools for financial analysis and reporting Perform various accounting functions as necessary, including ledger work and grant accounting.Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Grant Accountant or in a related role. Proficiency in using Abila MIP and other Accounting Software Systems. Experience with ADP - Financial Services is a must. Familiarity with Banner Ads and Bloomberg Terminal is desirable. Comprehensive understanding and ability to execute Accounting Functions. Prior experience in Auditing. Knowledge and understanding of Budget Processes. Experience with Capital Management. Ability to handle Cash Activity effectively. Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills.
