The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.Job Summary: Accurately compute the daily income of the hotel by verifying that all guest accounts are correct and in balance by the following morning. To maximize customer service satisfaction in absence of departmental management by supervising all departments in accordance with the standards of Hollywood VOLUME.Duties and Responsibilities:Meets and exceeds customer and colleague expectations by providing excellent customer service and teamwork.Provides value added service to the customers by doing whatever is reasonable and possible to meet or exceed customer expectations.Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed.Handles difficult situations effectively meeting the service standards.Performs other duties as required to provide excellent service and teamwork.Verifies and balances daily charges for all departments to customer folios, master accounts and house accounts, makes corrections as necessary.Balances the room audits with the night summary.Assumes responsibility for overall security of guests, hotel personnel, and property by working closely with graveyard security.Oversees emergency operation to insure guest safety and minimize losses and liability.Takes corrective action in emergency, and then files appropriate report to supervisor.Will get in contact with General Manager for any fire, bomb threat, burglary or death that has occurred on property.Provides FOM and Assistant Director of Finance with summary of activities during shrift by preparing and distributing written daily log.Runs computer through nightly processing sequence to reset for next days use in balancing applicable functions.Audits food and beverage income postings and charges.Records and balances all food and beverage income- verify with Yousef what duties of FB will be executedBalances the guest ledger postings to the restaurant audit guest ledger.Records and balances staff and house charges.Audits all banquet tickets before postings, verifying the accuracy of the calculations and attaching the latest event order.Reviews all credit card vouchers for proper imprints, authorizations and correct amounts.Prepares and transmits credit card deposits.Processes all city ledger work to accounting.Prints separate calculator tapes for designated categories of work.Organizes and dates the work for processing.Keeps supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters of significance.Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company colleagues to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment.Adheres to company policies and procedures.Attends work as scheduled.Follows hotels dress and grooming standards.Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.Qualifications:Minimum of two year supervisory experience in a high volume setting preferredPrevious working overnight experience preferredPrevious hospitality experience in a Four Diamond quality organization preferredPrevious experience with Windows, Office, and property management systems highly desirableMust be able to understand, speak, read, and write in the basic English languageAbility to effectively communicate and provide directions in a clear, concise and professional manner in both verbal and written formDemonstrate ability to compute basic arithmeticMust be available to work varied shifts, flexible schedule, weekends and holidaysPhysical Requirements:Pushing/Pulling: Average weight 30lbs constantlyLifting/Carrying: Average weight 30lbs constantlyStanding/Walking: Constantly.
