DescriptionThe Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology is seeking a highly motivated Cyclotron Operator - Research Development Engineer to join our dynamic laboratory team, playing a pivotal role in advancing cutting-edge radiopharmaceutical research. You will operate and maintain state-of-the-art cyclotrons, including a brand-new PETTrace™ 800, while supporting clinical and pre-clinical teams in their daily activities. This position involves overseeing the radiosynthesis, quality control, and packaging of clinical radiotracers, managing the chemical aspects of radioactive compound production, and assisting in the development of innovative, radioactively-labeled compounds. With a focus on compliance with radiation safety, laboratory safety, and quality control protocols, you'll work in a cGMP-compliant environment, ensuring that all processes align with the highest industry standards. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about precision, innovation, and making a real-world impact in the medical field.Salary range: $83,800.00-$179,400.00 AnnuallyQualificationsRequired:

Demonstrated knowledge of general chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry and radiochemistry;

Knowledge of principles of radiation protection;

Skill in manipulating chemical and electro-mechanical devices;

Ability to perform complex manipulative tasks, under pressure, in a precise and analytical fashion:

Ability to handle complex electromechanical control systems;

Ability in monitoring electronic operating systems to prevent and detect equipment malfunction;

Ability to follow schematic drawings; ability to break schematics into block diagram form;

Demonstrated knowledge of electronic tools and test equipment;

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty, staff, students and vendors;

Knowledge of radioactive procedures and protocols;

Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and logs.
