Uncle Paulie’s Deli is looking for a motivated Assistant Shift Lead to join our team! We’re an East-Coast-style Italian-American deli known for great sandwiches, a fast-paced environment, and genuine hospitality. We’re looking for someone with hands-on food service experience who can help lead a shift, keep things running smoothly, and make sure every guest gets that signature Uncle Paulie’s experience.
Responsibilities:
Assist in opening and closing the shop
Lead and support front- and back-of-house team members during shifts
Ensure food is prepared and served to quality and safety standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
Handle cash and POS transactions accurately
Communicate effectively with management and staff
Provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude at all times
Qualifications:
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in food service or hospitality
Strong leadership and communication skills
Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
Food Handler’s Card (or ability to obtain one)
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Ability to work weekends and flexible hours
