Executive Chef – High-End Steakhouse (Los Angeles)
An iconic and high-volume steakhouse is seeking a talented Executive Chef to lead its culinary team. Known for offering premium proteins, seasonal ingredients, and an exceptional charcuterie program, this restaurant combines timeless steakhouse favorites with refined, creative dishes.
This is a unique opportunity to join a respected and growing hospitality group that values both culinary excellence and strong leadership. Training will take place in the Los Angeles area.
Executive Chef Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a high-performing kitchen team in a positive, respectful work environment
Ensure all dishes meet the highest standards of quality, presentation, and consistency
Collaborate with ownership and culinary leadership on menu development, food costing, and innovation using seasonal ingredients
Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including ordering, inventory, and vendor management
Maintain strict standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and safety
Manage labor and food costs with full ownership of P&L, inventory, and cost controls
Support a culture of employee retention, feedback, and ongoing development
Represent the kitchen during private events and guest interactions as needed
Desired Qualifications:
3+ years’ experience as an Executive Chef, Head Chef, or Chef de Cuisine in a high-volume steakhouse or upscale dining environment ($5M+ preferred)
Background in scratch kitchens with experience fabricating and grilling various proteins
Strong understanding of seasonality and food trends with a creative, forward-thinking approach to menu design
Excellent leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to motivate teams
Highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dinner-only service model with a thriving private events business
Deep knowledge of financial management, including food/labor cost control and profitability strategies
Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
