POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Evening Server to join our dinner service team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in upscale or high-volume dining, a polished service presence, and a genuine passion for hospitality. As an evening server at Café Stella, you will help create the elevated, seamless service experience our guests expect during peak dining hours.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome and guide guests through their dining experience with professionalism and warmth
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations, including daily specials, wine pairings, and classic cocktails
- Take orders accurately and efficiently
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation and timing meet Café Stella’s standards
- Anticipate guest needs, address concerns, and resolve issues gracefully
- Coordinate with the kitchen, bar, and support team to maintain smooth service flow
- Manage payments and process cash/credit transactions accurately
- Maintain an organized, polished, and clean work environment
- Assist with dinner-service setup, transitions, and end-of-night breakdown
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years’ serving experience in an upscale or high-volume restaurant
- Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service
- Excellent communication skills and polished table-side presence
- Ability to perform under pressure and stay organized during busy periods
- Strong attention to detail, timing, and pacing
- Team-oriented, positive attitude, and professional demeanor
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- Valid Food Handler Certification (required by start date)
