Belle Vie Food and Wine is looking for a new team member in the kitchen, who will be under the direct supervision of the chef and the sous-chef .
We are a French restaurant oriented toward local produce and quality service with a casual touch.
3 years minimum experience required
CRITERIA:
-Adaptable
-desire to learn the French technics of cooking
-knowledge about eggs cooking ( omelette, scrambled, poached ect... )
-Work with a positive attitude in all types of situations
-Speed and work efficiency
-Wide range of knowledge of cuisines and techniques
-Excellent communication skills, reliability, strong references and verifiable background are required.
-Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for --cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
-Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
-Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment.
-Prepares item for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating.
-Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
-Follow sanitation guidelines set forth by Health Department
-Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations.
-Performs other related duties as assigned by the Chef or manager-on-duty.Â
