Duties include, but are not limited to:

- Manage and coordinate all active paint projects

- Directly supervise, lead, train and develop employees within department

- Constantly seek ways to improve efficiency, quality and cost control

- Assign work duties to maintain schedules

- Oversee the preventative maintenance of all operating equipment in department

- Daily space planning and coordination with Director of Fabrication

- Manage expenditures within department budget

- Develop and manage inventory control procedures

- Ensure production, quality, and time requirements are met to satisfy the client in a cost effective manner

- Maintain discipline to procedures, in accordance with safety, quality, engineering, human resources, and finance department guidelines

- Oversee all applicable department rules and regulations

- Order material and equipment when needed

- Liaison with production team on job schedule and requirements

- Reconcile expenses in accordance with finance department guidelines

- Perform in-process inspection of all work coming out of the paint department

- Monitor volume of production, record material usage and requirements

- Oversight of department consumables inventory planning and purchasing

- Support company culture initiatives

The ideal candidate will have:

- GED or High School Diploma

- 7+ Years of Scenic Painting experience in Theatre, Film or Experiential Industry.

- Minimum 3 years of management experience or leading a team

- Able to train and coach staff on a regular basis

- Must be able to provide written reports and feedback

- Must be organized, detail oriented and team driven

- Must be flexible and adaptable to constant change

- OSHA 10 Certification a plus

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Must speak English

- Must be able to travel out of town or out of state for installation on project site

- Must have reliable transportation.
