We are a well-established construction company specializing in seismic retrofits (soft-story) of multifamily buildings. With a solid presence in the San Francisco Bay Area, we are rapidly expanding into Southern California. As part of this exciting growth, we are seeking a dynamic and versatile individual to join our team in a hybrid role as Project Manager/Superintendent with a strong focus on sales.
Job Summary:
This role is perfect for a motivated, self-starter with experience in construction field supervision, and sales. As the Southern California Operations Manager’s right-hand person, you will be instrumental in managing projects, supervising job sites, and driving new business in the region. This position offers the unique opportunity to grow alongside our Southern California operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Plan, coordinate, and oversee seismic retrofit projects from start to finish.
Manage budgets, timelines, and project resources effectively.
Communicate regularly with subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
Superintendent Duties:
Supervise job sites to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to project specifications.
Address and resolve on-site challenges as they arise.
Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with all building codes and regulations.
Sales and Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Southern California market.
Build relationships with property owners, management companies, and industry stakeholders to secure seismic retrofit projects.
Prepare and present proposals to prospective clients.
Collaboration:
Meet with the Southern California Operations Manager in-person at a designated location (e.g., restaurant, café, or residence) for planning and strategy sessions.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in construction project management and/or field supervision.
Strong understanding of seismic retrofitting preferred (not required)
Exceptional sales and business development skills with a track record of winning projects.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with Southern California construction markets is a plus.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
