Landscape and Hardscape Project Manager

Job Summary:

The Landscape and Hardscape Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing landscape and hardscape projects from start to finish. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. The Project Manager will coordinate with clients, vendors, and on-site crews to deliver high-quality outdoor spaces that align with design specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Management:

Oversee all aspects of landscape and hardscape construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and execution.

Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Identify and resolve project challenges and delays proactively.

Client & Stakeholder Communication:

Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction throughout the project.

Provide progress updates, address concerns, and maintain strong client relationships.

Collaborate with designers, architects, and engineers to ensure project goals are met.

Team Leadership & Supervision:

Manage and lead on-site crews, including foremen, laborers, and subcontractors.

Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members.

Ensure adherence to company policies, safety guidelines, and industry best practices.

Budgeting & Cost Control:

Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency.

Monitor expenses, track material usage, and approve vendor invoices.

Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality.

Material & Equipment Management:

Coordinate material procurement and delivery schedules.

Ensure proper use, maintenance, and inventory of tools and equipment.

Work with suppliers to source high-quality materials at competitive prices

.

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience: 3+ years in landscape, hardscape, or construction project management.

Education: Degree or certification in Landscaping, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).

Strong knowledge of landscape and hardscape installation techniques, materials, and equipment.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and MS Office.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with irrigation systems, retaining walls, pavers, patios, and outdoor lighting.

Knowledge of local regulations, permits, and environmental considerations.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Work Environment:

Primarily field-based with office work as needed.

Exposure to outdoor conditions, including varying weather.

Physical ability to oversee job sites, including walking, standing, lifting, and operating equipment.
