Assistant Manager- Black Bear Diner

We are looking for a 3rd Assistant Manager to join the Black Bear Diner Family and help out in assisting the management team in our Salinas Location! We are looking for a dependable assistant manager with a good attitude. Kitchen and/or Restaurant experience preferred. Pay will be based upon experience. Responsible to include:

-Overall operations of the restaurant, which may include overseeing the staff, monitoring inventory, purchasing equipment and supplies

-Ensure quality customer service as it relates to the company and Guest standards

-Trains, hires, and schedule, discipline, terminate employees in best interest of the company in accordance with company policies and best practices

-Labor, food and inventory management of the restaurant

-Ensure food quality, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction which meet company standards

-Oversee maintenance and upkeep of the dining areas, kitchen, and exterior grounds of the restaurant

-Semi-monthly payroll of restaurant employees

-Ensure restaurant compliance with State and Federal regulations

-Develop operational, marketing, and business plans in conjunction with owners or board of directors

-Complete, coordinate self-assessments of restaurant

-Maintain safe, secure, and healthy restaurant environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations

Maintain and update security systems, POS systems, and/or CTUITsoftware as needed

-Accomplish company goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

-Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the restaurant industry

-Maintain standard operating procedures; implementing production, productivity, quality, and patron-service standards; determining and implementing system improvements
