Head of Strategy, Payments Partnerships

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

10 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.

5 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.

Experience with people management.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience leading strategy work on business problems.

Experience influencing and collaborating with senior stakeholders in an organization and influencing without direct authority.

Ability to craft and communicate insights from data, with Knowledge of metrics, trends, and patterns in business performance.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with limited direction, balance competing priorities, and manage multiple time-sensitive projects.

Excellent problem solving, analytical, presentation, and communication skills.

The Business Strategy and Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.The Strategy and Operations team supports the commerce partnerships area in Knowledge and Information Partnerships. In this role, you will cover Strategy and Operations for Payments, covering Wallet, GPay, real-time payments, and first-party platform products. The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $221,000-$314,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Partner with Directors and managers to develop the payments partnerships and ecosystem strategy, growth drivers, and business plan.

Identify product, partner, and ecosystem opportunities to deliver against product area goals and support growth objectives.

Manage business operations, interface with cross-functional and regional teams, and organize around impact.

Lead a strategy team, build excellence and inclusive team structures, support development of each team member, and build a trusted advisor relationship with stakeholders.
