This opportunity will remain online based on business needs which may be before or after the specified date.GFiber’s Test Engineer group builds, breaks, and then rebuilds our products in order to make them faster, more efficient, and better for our customers. Unlike roles with similar names at the other companies, here our Test Engineers write scripts to automate testing and create tools so developers can test their own code.Role DescriptionAs a Test Engineer, you'll navigate our codebase, identify weak spots, and constantly design better and creative ways to find software bugs. In your role, your contributions will directly impact the quality of our products and services. You'll use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote proper engineering practices, bug prevention strategies, testability, accessibility, privacy, and other advanced quality concepts across products.In this role, you'll:

Lead QA engineer responsible for all aspects of testing and releasing the high quality software for GFiber.Define, develop, and prioritize test strategies/plans/product tests for various GFiber systems and tools ranging from customer buy flows, portal, Backend Service Systems (BSS), mobile applications, and customers/sales/field support applications.

Develop schedules and oversee the designs or work of several test engineers and/or projects.

Build automation frameworks including debugging/triaging automation failures.

Collaborate across teams to improve quality and customer experience.

Work closely with Engineering development and Business partners in instrumenting their workflow to build a comprehensive picture of velocity, coverage, and quality.

Work cross functionally with Supply Chain/SRE/Field teams and third party vendors to triage and resolve field issues (e.g. firmware release, patches for field issues etc).

At a minimum we'd like you to have:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of experience in software testing, troubleshooting, enterprise application implementation, and testing.

5 years of experience in automation coding with a general purpose programming language such as Java, JavaScript or similar coding languages.

5 years experience with API integration and testing, backend service systems like Salesforce, SAP.

It's preferred if you have:

Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

8 years of experience in leading and testing/releasing software products in continuous delivery models. BSS systems like SalesForce, SAP, API/RPC Calls testing.

8 years of experience with test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging.

5 years of experience in automation coding with Java test infrastructure development for software testing.

5 years of experience in testing enterprise applications, mobile applications, and/or networking systems.

Experience with web service development and GCP compute instances.

Experience building web service layers to integrate internal and external systems.

5 years of demonstrated experience in representing test engineering in Architecture/Design forums (e.g. SME for test).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $152,000 - $167,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits.
