Physician Benefits Administration Consultant I

Job Summary:This individual contributor position, under the guidance of more senior team members, is responsible for administering physician benefits programs; executing benefits transactions; providing auditing, quality assurance, and compliance support; and collaborating with vendors, technical contacts, and management to resolve issues and implement new benefit programs. This includes providing exceptional customer support directly to physicians; supporting the communication of program terms to physicians, management, and vendors; and working with stakeholders and vendors to support strategic departmental and organizational goals. This position is also responsible for supporting the review and evaluation of new and existing programs or initiatives; and participating in system and interface design, implementations, enhancements, and continuous improvements. This includes supporting benefits and financial analyses to inform decision-making and drive quality financial outcomes; and maintaining compliance with policies and procedures to meet operational needs for new and existing initiatives.Essential Responsibilities:

Executes benefits transactions under the guidance of more senior team members by responding to inquiries from physicians and vendors; verifying appropriate benefit offerings based on eligibility requirements; providing auditing, quality assurance, and compliance support; supporting open enrollment and other enrollments related to status changes; resolving physician and/or vendor issues; and working with vendors, technical contacts, and management to resolve issues as appropriate.

Supports benefits and financial analyses by assisting in the consolidation of data to explain financial results and inform decision-making; building an understanding of data gathering methods; and ensuring the quality and completeness of work deliverables.

Provides exceptional customer support directly to physicians by ensuring the highest quality, one-touch, full-cycle customer service; understanding and anticipating client needs; solving and/or escalating problems as appropriate; minimizing follow-up; and maximizing customer satisfaction.

Supports the communication of program terms to physicians, management, and vendors by presenting conclusions about areas of accountability and financial sustainability to stakeholders in verbal and written form; and assisting in the documentation of positions and processes in support of process improvement and knowledge retention.

Supports program administration by executing program processes under the guidance of more senior team members; maintaining program activities and documentation; and working with stakeholders and vendors to support strategic departmental and organizational goals.

Supports the review and evaluation of new and existing programs or initiatives by assisting in the preparation of program resources and documentation to facilitate management analysis and review.

Supports system and interface design, implementations, enhancements, and continuous improvements by building an understanding of how transactions flow through source systems; assisting in the validation of ongoing configuration decisions; and supporting system(s) review in area of expertise to identify enhancement opportunities.

Maintains compliance with policies and procedures to meet operational needs for new and existing initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum one (1) year experience working with Microsoft Office.

High school diploma or GED and Minimum one (1) year experience working in an office environment or in an administrative, operations, or customer service role.
