We’re looking for an experienced Credentialed Surgery Technician to join our expanding Surgery Department. POSITION SUMMARY:We are looking for a highly skilled surgery technician who is comfortable with critical anesthetic cases including septic abdomens, thoracotomies, etc. This position is for someone who has already worked in a specialty surgery department or in a critical care environment and has managed difficult anesthetic cases. The schedule will be 4-days/10-hour work week. No weekends will be required. This position is not meant for new RVTs and will require experience.Essential Job FunctionsAnesthesiology monitoring including blood pressure, CO2, SpO2, invasive blood pressure monitoring, ventilator setup and management. Calculating and administering multiple CRIs. Performing hands free radiographs. Surgical preparation for soft tissue and orthopedic procedures. Drawing blood, placing IV catheters, sedation, intubation. Other duties as assigned by Supervisors, Management team and or DoctorsPhysical Demands:The physical demands describe here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Basic anesthetic physiology. Surgical preparation for both soft tissue and orthopedic procedures. Basic computer skills Works well under pressure Able to multi-task Able to stand on feet much of the day Able to lift up to 40 lbs.ProfessionalismMaintain positive, upbeat attitude with doctors and team members. Punctual, reliable and flexibleEducation and Experience:High school graduate or equivalent; college degree desirable.
