Compensation

Starting at $75K + / DOE

Overview:

The Executive Sous-Chef at Red O Taste of Mexico restaurants will oversee kitchen operations in a high-volume, fine-dining Mexican restaurant setting. Responsibilities include menu planning, staff management, ensuring high-quality food production, scheduling, financial control, and assisting the executive chef.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient food production and adherence to quality standards.

- Create and maintain kitchen schedules to optimize staffing and workflow.

- Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of fresh ingredients and manage inventory levels.

- Input invoices and maintain financial controls, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines up to $14.5 million.

- Assist the executive chef in menu development, costing, and implementation.

- Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain a high level of culinary proficiency and teamwork.

- Uphold sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a sous-chef in a high-volume restaurant environment.

- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.

- Experience in managing budgets and controlling costs.

- Culinary degree or equivalent qualification preferred.

- Knowledge of Mexican cuisine and culinary techniques is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Starting at $75,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
