They have offices on both US coasts.The team is looking to bring on a director of fund accounting to oversee a variety of back office functions including tax, treasury, trade reconciliation, accounting, NAV oversight, and overseeing audits.Responsibilities include:

Resolve trade discrepancies by reconciling trades and positions in collaboration with the prime broker and trader.

Conduct portfolio analysis for a closed-end hedge fund type structure.

Calculate management fees.

Perform waterfall and carried interest calculations.

Compute gross and net internal rate of return (IRR).

Ensure that accounting and presentation align with U.S. GAAP and limited partnership agreements.

Calculate realized gains and losses.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in public accounting or fund administration, specifically with expertise in private equity accounting and operations, hedge funds, venture capital, or private equity investments.

Familiarity with closed-end and hedge fund structures.

Proficiency in managing complex partnership agreements.

Experience utilizing portfolio management systems, such as Eze Eclipse.

Proactive, self-motivated individual capable of managing and meeting multiple deadlines.

Client-focused attitude with excellent communication abilities.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

Knowledge of software systems like FIS Investran, Lightkeeper, and Capital IQ is advantageous.
