Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist located in Pasadena, California. This role is primarily in the apparel and construction industry, dealing with international imports. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for various clerical duties related to accounts payable, including invoice posting, document checking, and ensuring accuracy in pricing.Responsibilities: Efficiently process and post invoices, ensuring all details are accurate. Regularly interact with factories in China regarding expenses for lighting and other purchases. Handle purchase orders and receivers, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and recorded. Regularly review and check documents for discrepancies, taking necessary actions to rectify any issues. Communicate with buyers regarding any discrepancies or issues with invoices or purchase orders. Regularly check and verify expenses, ensuring all details are accurate and up-to-date. Handle accounts payable for payments ranging in the millions on a weekly basis. Deal with international imports in the apparel and construction industry. Ensure all factor invoices are properly checked and verified. Manage and maintain accurate customer credit records.This role requires proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Sage software. Requirements Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role. Proficiency in utilizing Accounts Payable (AP) software. Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. Proactive problem-solving skills. Willingness to continually update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure. Adherence to ethical standards and compliance with relevant regulations.
