Description We are in search of a Senior UX Researcher to join our B2B eCommerce client for 6 months, 40hr/wk, fully remote. In this role, you will be working closely with various stakeholders and UX team members to understand user needs and drive the development of our digital products, including B2B SaaS and sophisticated web-based apps. This is a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Lead the domain of research, advocating for appropriate research methodologies among cross-functional partners including Product, Design, and Engineering. Drive alignment around user needs by collaborating closely with cross-functional partners and incorporating peers into the research process. Scope and deliver strategic research that influences UX and product vision, building relationships with other UX team members, Product Owners, Product Managers, and Engineering. Manage and prioritize research plans through ambiguous environments, efficiently executing critical insights. Promote and share user testing best practices and techniques within the organization. Design and conduct unbiased independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences. Execute end to end research through a broad range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies at different stages of product development. Collect and analyze user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs and online experiments (A/B testing). Synthesize data individually and collaboratively using methods such as affinity mapping to identify patterns and trends. Evaluate existing standards, controls, and solutions for internal access infrastructure, and identify opportunities for improvements. Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through clearly written reports, presentations, and other forms of deliverables, tying the insights directly to actionable next steps and impact on product direction. Collaborate with the UX Research Team to standardize UXR metrics and surveys for benchmarking research performance.Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in User Experience (UX) Research or a related role. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop is required. Familiarity with Atlassian Jira, Agile Scrum, Ajax, API Development, and CSS is necessary. Experience with AB Testing is highly desirable. Proven track record of translating user research into actionable insights that inform product design and development. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and engineers. Strong communication skills to effectively articulate design decisions and research findings to stakeholders. Proficiency in creating user personas, journey maps, and wireframes. Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on user-centered design. Experience in managing and conducting user testing sessions and other design research activities. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in Design, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Must have a portfolio showcasing UX research work and process.
