Job DescriptionJoin the Clean Energy RevolutionBecome a Senior Manager, Fleet Maintenance at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll lead all aspects of and direct fleet operations and maintenance across multiple regions. You’ll supervise and lead represented and non-represented vehicle maintenance employees for the NorthwestRegion . You will also plan, monitor, and run internal projects and programs, including sophisticated and multi-year initiatives. Lead and be responsible for operational performance, including vendor management. Ensure cross-organizational execution of those strategies through effective project management and oversight. The workgroup is comprised of a garage workforce ranging from Technicians up to Foremen, who are engaged in the daily activities of fleet operations and maintenance. This position will report directly to the Principal Manager.As a Senior Manager, Fleet Maintenance , your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone. Develop and implement department programs to improve efficiency in operations and policies to help govern operating standards (e.g., training, garage modernization, technology standards, compliance, safety, business resiliency/storm response, and supply chain programs)

Represent TSD in the company's incident management program and lead the TSD emergency on-call duty multiple weeks per year

Direct a team that plans, monitors, and manages internal projects and programs, including complex and multi-year initiatives. Lead and oversee the organization's operational performance, including vendor management. Implement balanced and innovative solutions to improve the fleet's performance.

Interface with customers on vehicle repair and maintenance issues. Makes final decisions on department functional matters and ensures effective achievement of objectives.

Act as a representative of the company to external agencies. Ensure department compliance with applicable regulations and maintain accurate records and documentation for audits.

Leads department capital and Operating & Maintenance expenditures and budgets. Evaluate results and recommend actions to optimize cost savings.

QualificationsThe essentials

Five (5) or more years of Fleet Maintenance experience in managing/supervising and leading a group, unit, or team.

Five (5) or more years of Fleet Maintenance experience planning, leading, and implementing multiple cross-functional fleet projects.

Office Suite skills (Word, PowerPoint)

Proficiency in fleet management software, ERP (i.e. SAP), and data analysis

Strong negotiation and vendor leadership skills and abilities

The preferred

Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field

CAFM - Certified Automotive Fleet Manager

Recognized industry certification such as Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)

Detailed knowledge of the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards

Experience with IBEW collective bargaining agreement and its application in handling labor relations issues

This position’s work mode is on-site . The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.

The primary work location for this position is Pomona, CA.

Position will require travel and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
