We are continuously developing new answers for rail automation – often to questions that haven’t been asked yet.Position Overview:As a Bogie Equipment Operator , you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations by safely and efficiently operating equipment involved in the installation and maintenance of bogies on Rail Vehicles. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth functioning of bogie installation processes, contributing to the overall quality and performance of our Rail Vehicles.What your day will look like:

Duties may consist of, but not limited to, unloading the car shells, using the lifting jacks.

Moves Rail Vehicles on site from one location to another with Transporter and Tamper.

Supports water test on car shell and Rail Vehicles with forklift. Drive Truck (five ton) to transport material locally.

Prepares Rail Vehicles for shipping. Prepping flat car to ship Rail Vehicles.

Loads Rail Vehicles on to the flat car or truck trailer, following the proper procedure.

Secures Rail Vehicles to the flat car with special tie down method and material.

Trains and provides work direction to other employees regarding loading and unloading methods, sequences, and procedures.

Daily tasks involve pushing and pully heavy equipment on wheels and torquing motions.

Installs bolsters on car body and installs bogies on vehicle.

Performs tasks that require knowledge of a combination of processes, procedures, operation, and equipment.

Coordinate with production team for all the car movements.

Collaborate with team members to coordinate bogie installation activities, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to report progress, challenges, and any potential safety concerns.

Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries in the workplace.

What we are looking for:

High school education, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

1-2 years mechanical assembly, forklift operation and/or similar machine equipment operation experience.

The role is eligible for overtime and shift differential pay for certain work schedules.
