Sous Chef

We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef with an interest or skill set in vegan cooking to join our dynamic kitchen team. The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory control, and cooking and plating dishes to our restaurant's high standards.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the Executive Chef in the preparation and design of all food menus, including vegan options.

- Produce high-quality dishes that follow up the established menu and level up to our location’s standards.

- Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely manner that meets our quality standards.

- Resourcefully solve problems that arise and seize control of situations, leading by example.

## Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Sous Chef.

- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.

- Expertise or interest in vegan cooking and preparing vegan dishes.

- Excellent record of kitchen and staff management.

- Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions.

- Familiar with industry’s best practices.

- Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience.
