Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Scheduler to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing caregiver schedules to ensure that clients receive timely and appropriate care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for helping others.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Schedule Management:
- Coordinate and maintain accurate caregiver schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all clients' needs.
- Adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate client requests, caregiver availability, and unexpected changes.
2. Client and Caregiver Communication:
- Communicate effectively with clients and their families to confirm care schedules and address any concerns or changes.
- Collaborate with caregivers to understand their availability and preferences, ensuring a good match between caregivers and clients.
3. Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care schedules, caregiver assignments, and any changes or updates.
- Use scheduling software or tools to track and organize scheduling information efficiently.
4. Problem Solving:
- Proactively address scheduling conflicts or issues, finding solutions that meet both client and caregiver needs.
- Identify patterns or recurring issues in scheduling and propose improvements to enhance efficiency.
5. Collaboration with Management:
- Work closely with the management team to understand staffing needs and report on scheduling trends or challenges.
- Assist in onboarding new caregivers by providing orientation on scheduling processes and expectations.
6. Client Care Coordination:
- Ensure continuity of care by scheduling regular visits and follow-ups for clients as needed.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of each client's care requirements and preferences to facilitate personalized scheduling.
7. Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulations regarding caregiver scheduling and client care.
- Prepare reports related to scheduling and caregiver assignments as required by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in scheduling, ideally within the healthcare or home care sector (1-3 years preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple schedules efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in using scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
THIS POSITION REQUIRES EMPLOYEE TO BE APART OF A WEEKLY ON CALL SCHEDULE (1-2 WEEKS PER MONTH)
