Program Description:
Join our team at Rebuilding Together Sacramento in a rewarding role that makes a real difference for vulnerable neighbors. You’ll help older adults, people with disabilities, and other low-income homeowners live safely and independently by installing accessibility items such as grab bars, wheelchair ramps, modified steps, and railings. Work will be performed both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Perform installations of safety items
Process inventory and complete necessary paperwork
Use computer applications, including learning our Salesforce database
Supply order purchasing
Provide supplies for volunteers, as needed
Other duties as assigned
Employment Information:
Full-time, hourly, non-exempt (40 hours/week during business hours)
Pay: $21.00 – $23.00/hour, depending on experience
Company vehicle provided most of the time; personal vehicle use may be required on occasion (mileage reimbursed at IRS rate)
Driving is a responsibility of this position so the employee must show proof of a valid driver’s license and auto insurance

Qualifications:
Strong carpentry and “handyman/handywoman” skills for minor repairs
Comfortable working in underserved neighborhoods with older adults and people with disabilities
Skilled with Microsoft computer programs, email and ability to learn Salesforce
Proven reliability, strong organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail
Valid driver’s license in good standing and proof of auto insurance
Must pass a background check prior to start date (conducted only after an employment offer)
