We are Looking for Squeegee Operator for our Seal Coat crew.
Description:
A-1 Advantage Asphalt is hiring for a Squeegee Operator for our Seal Coat division. The Seal Coat and Striping crew position will perform tasks involving applying seal coat at parking lots by hand or operating one or several types of equipment. This position may require routine repair and maintenance of equipment, in addition to other duties, we are looking for someone that makes being able to be a team player a priority.
Responsibilities:
Wear proper safety equipment at all times
Seal Coat knowledge and ability to use squeegee and operate seal equipment.
To communicate daily with designated Manager assigned to a specific job.
Ensure that proper signage is displayed at each jobsite and jobsite sign pickup.
Maintain and enter data on Work Order Sheet for material, equipment and labor for job costing of Seal Coat operations on a daily basis.
Implement appropriate traffic control at job sites (signs, barricades, caution tape).
Ensures that all materials are installed to manufacturer's specifications for product application.
Act as a problem solver to reduce work issues, and/or assists workers in solving work challenges.
Perform service and maintenance program on all equipment.
Participate in company's employee evaluation program and follow all company policies (i.e. Drug & Substance Abuse Policy, Sexual Harassment)
Requirements:
Understanding and use of tools and general construction equipment as it pertains to Asphalt maintenance.
Must have broad understanding of Seal Coating, and in areas of Asphalt Repairs, Crack sealing and Striping work.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work weekends and occasional nights.
Ability to work long hours and in all weather conditions.
Travel may be required.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving traffic, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
The noise level in this environment is usually very loud.
