A medium size General Engineering Construction Company has an opening for a part-time payroll specialist to handle all things payroll and issue payment of all accounts payable. Company size is less than 25 employees. Work hours could be 9 hours per day Tuesday-Thursday, or 8 hours per day Monday- Thursday (this is open for discussion).
Responsibilities:
Onboarding of new employees, testing, applications, new hire/employee handbook, I-9, E-Verify, W-4s etc.
Prepare, review and process payroll on a weekly basis.
Direct Deposits.
Wage garnishments, child support, etc.
Weekly payroll tax deposits.
Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local payroll, wage and hour laws.
Worker’s compensation administration.
Quarterly 940's and 941's, W-2's, 1099's.
Works closely with field supervisors, foremen and accounting manager.
Other duties as needed, including answering the phone at times.
Process payment and issuance of weekly and monthly invoices to vendors and subcontractors.
