East County Subcontractor seeks a skilled, analytical, detail-oriented, and ethical person to fill a key position in our office. The role of the Accounting/Payroll & Office Manager requires recent working knowledge of full-cycle construction accounting processes, in-house payroll, certified payroll, and labor compliance for public works projects. This position will also take lead and oversee administrative office functions. Candidates with 5+ years’ recent construction experience preferred. Must be trustworthy, extremely meticulous, self-directed, proactive, and able to follow through with assigned tasks. Prefer recent working knowledge of A/P, A/R, billing, subcontracts, job-costing, purchase orders, preliminary notices, lien releases, bank, and credit card reconciliations, etc. Must be able to show up on time and maintain a good attendance record. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen. We participate in e-Verify. $36-$38.00/hour DOE. Health benefits, 401k, PTO, holiday pay and sick leave. Ongoing training is available as required for this position. Notary a plus. This is not a remote position. M-F; 32-40 hours per week; start/end times are somewhat flexible.
