Position Overview:
We are looking for a Design Engineer with experience using AutoCAD and Revit to join our in-office team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, motivated, and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a smaller company environment. You will work closely with our team to create designs, submit plans for permitting, and coordinate with city and county offices as needed.
Responsibilities:
Draft and design residential and commercial projects using AutoCAD and Revit
Prepare and submit drawings for city/county permitting
Coordinate with city and county departments as needed to ensure compliance
Collaborate with our project team to make sure plans meet client and project requirements
Maintain organized project files and documentation
Occasionally visit job sites for measurements, inspections, or coordination
Qualifications:
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (students or recent graduates with strong portfolios welcome to apply)
Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes is a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on projects
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Reliable transportation – this is an in-office position
Willingness to learn and grow with a small business team
Preferred (but not required):
Prior experience with residential or commercial design projects
Familiarity with construction drawings and shop drawings
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision once trained
