Position summary: The Senior-Level Commercial Interior Designer/Project Manager is a key member of the design team. They provide design and technical support for all project elements from conception through construction. They must exhibit a professional demeanor and image at all times. The Senior-Level Commercial Interior Designer/Project Manager also acts as liaison with clients.
Qualifications: The Senior-Level Commercial Interior Designer/Project Manager is required to have ten years minimum experience in the Architectural/Interior Design profession, and be a Certified Interior Designer (CCLID/NCIDQ) with Bachelors of Arts Degree in Interior Design.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Analyzing clients’ needs, goals, and life and safety requirements
Developing conceptual design and design development of interior projects
Selection of interior finishes, furniture, and equipment
Developing final design recommendations through appropriate presentation media
Production of space plans, furniture plans, elevations, conceptual and finished design presentation documentation
Development of Construction Documents
Assisting in obtaining required permits
Coordinate with Team in construction documentation production using CAD and/or Revit
Incorporating applicable building code, life, safety and ADA code compliance regulations
Providing solutions to design problems and generating design alternatives
Reviewing drawings, mock-ups, materials, and finish samples submitted by project contractors
Reviewing pricing, materials, and value engineering for projects
Adhering to/Management of project time and material budgets
Delivering the highest quality of professional service
Understanding of the client’s brand standards and how they apply/enhance the design solution
Evaluating existing documentation and conditions
The ability to create/maintain/enhance a written design concept statement that carries throughout the project
Developing for client review and approval final design recommendations, inclusive of space planning and furniture layouts; wall, window, floor, and ceiling treatments; furniture, fixtures, and millwork; colors, finishes, and materials; hardware, lighting, electrical, communications, AV and branded element/signage requirements
Coordination of specialty project consultants with specific roles and responsibilities that impact the design development of the project
Preparing working drawings and specifications for interior construction, materials, finishes, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment for client’s approval
Assist in General contractor selection and bid review process
Conducting on-site visits and field inspections
Overseeing the quality of production and installation of furnishings, fixtures, and equipment on clients’ behalf, and preparing lists of deficiencies for client’s use
