With more than 55 locations globally, we provide our clients with coordinated, end-to-end capabilities through all phases of development, including API, biologics, viral vector services, formulation, clinical trial solutions, logistics services and commercial manufacturing.Based remotely in Southern California.Discover Impactful WorkThis person will drive sales revenue growth through the development and implementation of strategies to generate sales from new and existing accounts in the assigned geography. Builds an internal network that enables client success. Identifies new target clients and target molecules and follows through on leads from a variety of sources. Focuses on new projects for bio-pharmaceuticals services (process development, cGMP clinical and commercial manufacturing services). The successful candidate will have the ability to build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, influence future strategic direction and develop strategic relationships with Biotech and Pharma in the South West region of the US (So. California to Texas). Additionally, the candidate will build connections with cross-divisional sales and business units within Thermo Fisher Scientific to ensure an aligned approach to customers.What will you do?

New Business Development including identifying new molecule opportunities with new or existing clients through understanding of the market, appointment based strategic selling, using personal network, interaction with other PSG (Pharma Services Group) and Thermo Fisher Scientific teams and following up on leads.

Crafting and driving sales programs for new prospective clients to increase awareness of our service offering and key differentiators from our competition.

Ability to analyze and understand funding mechanisms and sources and flow of funding for the small emerging biotech element of the territory.

Attends tradeshows/ conferences/ seminars to increase awareness of our broader capabilities and as a source of lead generation.

Identifying and presenting our value proposition, including opportunities for strategic bundling of our services.

Manages the ongoing relationship with existing clients.

Enables winning quotations and has a key role to play in the contract negotiation phase.

Manages, updates, maintains and records all relevant activities in the CRM database, and shares information and background on prospective clients within the territory to our partners.

How will you get here?Education

Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as micro-biology, cellular biology, and chemistry required or equivalent experience.

Experience

Process Development/Commercial manufacturing experience in biologics is preferred.

Minimum of 5 years' experience performing and/or selling biologics, including but not limited to selling vaccines, blood, or blood components, allergenics, somatic cells, gene therapies, tissues, recombinant therapeutic protein, and living cells used in cell therapy.

Leadership experience in an aggressively growing business climate.

Established contacts in major pharmaceutical organizations.

Professional presentation skills and ability to network within senior management ranks.

Travel 25-50%.
