Description A Robert Half Management Resources client is seeking an experienced Controller level Consultant to assist us in a clean-up project within our finance department for a period of 2 months. The individual must be capable in the areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Forecasting, Inventory Management, Financial Reporting, and Account Reconciliations.The right candidate will have a forensic style of work and be competent in looking back and "unwinding" complex financial records. This role will require the ability to detect, investigate and repair any accounting discrepancies, ensure compliance with regulations, and improve the overall efficiency and accuracy of our financial operations.Key Responsibilities:Review and assess our current accounting practices, identifying any inconsistencies or errors.Execute in-depth "forensic" investigations into our historical financial records.Provide expertise in account reconciliations, including but not limited to, balance sheet, bank and ledger reconciliations.Assist in the management of our AP/AR transactions, ensuring they are conducted efficiently and accurately.Conduct in-depth and regular forecasting to project future financial scenarios.Appraise, manage, and maintain a record of our inventory.Compile, analyze, and review financial reporting; delivering a clear and comprehensive financial picture to senior management.Job Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field is requiredMinimum 8-10 years' experience in a similar roleDemonstrated expertise in a wide range of accounting functions.Strong forensic abilities, with a proven record of unwinding complex financial scenarios.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced knowledge of accounting softwareExceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to handle confidential information discretely and professionally.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
