Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM has an opening for an Electrical Engineer II to support our growing Buildings + Places teams in San Diego, CA.Job Summary/Responsibilities
Electrical engineering support from conceptual design through construction administration and post-occupancy
Coordinating with multiple disciplines and acting as the electrical designer to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to the project’s electrical systems, functionality, and safety measures
Support in the review of shop drawings during the construction administration phase
Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids
Writing reports for internal and external purposes based on findings
Works cooperatively with managers and other employees to achieve company's mission
Ensures discipline plans that are created meet overall project team requirements for project scope and schedule
Stays current on codes and technologies appropriate to the electrical disciplines
Support on site visits for the purpose of data collection and evaluation of electrical systems, equipment, components and materials for projects
Develops designs within a BIM design environment
Completes assigned engineering and design tasks in accordance with client specified criteria and applicable codes and standards
Develops alternate technical solutions and design options in support of project team, e.g. white paper research, code review and wide range of difficult problems
Responsible for communication and collaboration with full design team and client
Ensures compliance to Quality Assurance Procedures
QualificationsMinimum Requirements
BA/BS in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or similar and 2+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Experience with Revit and AutoCAD based design projects
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of electrical engineering experience within a consulting or design-build firm
Professional Engineering (Electrical) license
EIT certification
Competent in all conventional aspects of electrical engineering and conducts work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard electrical engineering techniques, procedures and criteria
Excellent communication skills: articulate, assertive, and confident
Creative thinker with effective teamwork skills
Experience with sustainable design
Additional Information
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000

This is a hybrid position with 2-3 required days in the office/field and up to 2 days work from home.
