Fixed Asset Specialist

Description We are currently partnering with a client in San Diego to fill an immediate need for a Fixed Asset Specialist on a contract basis. This role will focus on managing, tracking, and maintaining the company’s fixed assets to ensure accurate financial reporting.Key Responsibilities:

Fixed Asset Management: Maintain and update fixed asset records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Asset Tracking: Monitor the acquisition, transfer, and disposal of assets, ensuring proper documentation and coding in the accounting system.

Depreciation Calculations: Calculate and record depreciation expenses in accordance with GAAP and company policies.

Asset Reconciliation: Reconcile fixed asset subledger to the general ledger on a monthly basis, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.

Reporting: Prepare detailed reports related to fixed asset activities, including asset summaries, depreciation schedules, and other financial reports.

Audit Support: Assist with audits by providing supporting documentation and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to enhance fixed asset processes and suggest improvements for greater efficiency.

Requirements

Experience Required: 2-3 years of experience in fixed asset accounting or related finance roles.Strong knowledge of GAAP and fixed asset accounting principles.Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (experience with systems like SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks preferred).Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.Ability to start immediately and work on-site.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
